Tuesday, June 29, 2021 - Lower Kananaskis Lake

A beautiful, blue sky, lake all to ourselves kind of day, but damn hot with a high of 36 C.

We caught a few Cutthroat and Bulls and the action was decent until it got too hot around 11 am. The Balanced Leech was the ticket today and we tried a few other staples like chironomids, Lower K Mayfly Nymph and others but they only ate the Bleech.

We anchored in 12-15' of water and the most action came about a foot off the bottom.

The Sedge hatch will start any day now so get your big bushy or foam flies ready and get out there because the fun is about to begin!
